Inscription, Application forms, Admission, Payment….

You want to apply now for admission via "n+i" Network ?. It's really easy, but you must, first, read carefully all the documents about admissibility, calendar, recruitment process, application file, "electronic" file, "paper" file, evaluation, results, quotation and invoice.

  1. You must have a Bachelor's or Licence’s degree (such as a BTech, BEng, BSc; Licienciatura, etc.) or the equivalent (accredited by “n+i” and schools),
  2. You must complete only one application file on this website www.nplusi.com , click on “Apply on line”.
  3. You must confirm your "electronic" application by sending to "n+i" your "paper" application file,
  4. You must observe the deadlines for filing applications, responding to recruitment inquiries, and so on,
  5. You must check this site often, using your personal login and password. Attention: Checking the site is the only way you will be able to track action on your application. No notices will be sent by e-mail or post,
  6. You must begin studying French (see "n+i" for students) and give, for a better orientation. Give evidence of your level in French (Test of French: TEF,TCF, letters from accredited persons, etc..) may leads to an exemption of the packages for linguistic integration.

ATTENTION : When you will have chosen a school, thank to « n+i », to study in France you must start the process for your visa. To do so, in some countries, you have to fill a special file on line CampusFrance–CEF. Please contact as soon as possible the French Consulate in your city or the CampusFrance desk.

Be connected regularly for more information

Tip: The sooner you complete your application file, the sooner we can review it. An early review increases your chances of being recruited and receiving financial aid (see sessions).

Note: Determinations of equivalences, credits, and grades are made by an "n+i" committee appointed by directors of engineering schools and programs. The decisions of the committee are final and not subject to review or appeal.

I have read the following documents : How to apply ?, Eligibility, Sessions 1 and 2, Calendar 2010, The Recruitment process, The “electronic” application form , The "paper" form, Interviews, orientation, Evaluation , Quotation, Deposit and Invoice, The results, Candidates to an EIFFEL scholarship.

Course Admissions

Admissions at all stages of the course

Applications for admissions from both French and foreign candidates are subject to a selection panel. The candidate's application is firstly assessed under the following headings : school marks, results at baccalaureate, teacher assessments and INSA interview. Successful candidates are chosen on a competitive basis. Allocation to one of the five INSAs (Rennes, Rouen, Strasbourg, Lyon or Toulouse) depends on the classification, the wishes of the candidate and the places available at each establishment.
Other possibilities exist for students to join the INSA at different stages of the degree course ; the admission procedures are identical throughout the INSA network.

The department INFO trains engineers in computer science with an emphasis on software engineering and diversification profiles. The themes "Modeling" and "Software Design" is the common base. According to the chosen profile, more emphasis is placed on "Languages, Systems and Networks" or "Data Processing and Mathematical Modeling. ». .

Diploma courses

Courses at INSA-Rennes conform with the European LMD system (First degree, Master’s, Doctorate) and are organised according to the principle of ECTS credits.
Students are prepared for three diplomas :

International sections :

International section

EURINSA/ASINSA International section

The 1st and 2nd years of the engineering degree course in the EURINSA/ASINSA international section aim at preparing students for the international context of their profession.
While the programme is identical to the conventional syllabus, the course modules benefit from certain specific features designed to help students to improve their level in two or three languages.
The objective of this course is to acquire a high level scientific culture along with a better knowledge of Europe.
The international section consists of two groups of 24 students, half of them coming from France and half from other countries in Europe and Asia. It offers some major advantages :

  • Two compulsory languages

  • International political economy studies given in small groups, with French and foreign students working in pairs

  • Learning support in the science disciplines

  • An in-company or linguistic training course in a non French-speaking country for French nationals and in a French-speaking country for non-French nationals

  • Cultural activities

Second year of studies in Germany

After their first year in the international section, students choosing German as their language option at INSA-Rennes can carry out their second year of studies in Germany in one of our partner universities: Technische Universitätde Dresden, Technische Universitätde Hamburg-Harburg, Rheinisch-Westfalische, Technische Hochschule Aachen, etc. The courses are given in German with access depending on a good initial level in German as accredited at the end of the first year by the DSH - Deutsche Sprachprüfung für die Hochschulen.
To take part in this programme, students require a good level in sciences and German. In addition, they must select one of the six speciality options for their third year of studies.
During their year in Germany, the engineering students remain registered at INSA-Rennes and must comply with the training contract drawn up in agreement with the STPI department (1st cycle) as well as the department of specialization (2nd cycle) which the student wishes to join in the 3rd year. An ERASMUS grant can be awarded for a study visit abroad. At the end of this period of mobility, and according to the results obtained, the engineering student will then take up the selected speciality.

Master's Research Diploma

Two international research Masters

Within the framework of the INSA network, and in partnership with higher education establishments in the Brittany region, INSA-Rennes offers two programmes leading to the international Masters Research Diploma :

Research Masters in “Sciences, Technology and Health”

In conjunction with the University of Rennes 1 and other higher education establishments in the Brittany region, INSA-Rennes plays an active role in training candidates for the second year of Research Master iin “Sciences, Technology and Health”, offering a syllabus with 7 options.
Based on training in research and by research, the Master's programme is strongly supported by the recognised research laboratories of INSA-Rennes. It includes a theoretical course of approximately 150 hours, followed by a placement of at least four months in a branch of academic or industrial research.
Engineering students of INSA-Rennes can undertake a research master option in parallel with the 5th year of their engineering course, leading to a double diploma : the INSA Engineering Diploma and the Master Research Diploma.

Discuss the fundamental, environmental, economic, and societal values we should pursue to promote "Sustainable Development of Global Community."
